Serving Non-Alcoholic Beverages at Your Wedding, Part 2: Mocktails

At many weddings, the bar is the hot spot where people gather – or at least it was before social distancing became the norm! As wedding drinks shift away from bars toward pre-prepared cocktails and single-serve containers, guests are still frequently offered signature cocktails and tasty seasonal beverages. But for those who don’t drink alcohol, it can be a bit of a downer to be stuck with soda or water. Those folks who don’t drink, or who can;’t would love another option — like little kids, your elderly grandparents, your cousin who’s in recovery. Or maybe you’re planning a dry wedding for your own reasons.

No matter the reason or whether you offer alcohol to your guests, non-alcoholic drinks at weddings are becoming more popular each season. Last month we talked about our favorite non-alcholoic beers and ciders. For part 2 of the “NA series”, we’ll focus on some of our favorite mocktail recipes that elevate non-alcoholic drink options with creativity, flair, and interesting or classic glassware. With the right presentation, you may find your dry bar service is the big hit of the affair! These wonderful concoctions are NOT your mother’s Shirley Temple!
