Venue Highlight

One of the many venues in Vermont that gives back to the community is the West Monitor Barn in Richmond, Vermont venue is the West Monitor Barn, extravagantly rustic, this barn is easily accessible and is nestles in the rolling green mountains of Richmond, Vermont. Able to hold roughly 150 guests at tables with room for a dance floor, buffet, and bar this space has it all.

From a back-of-house perspective, the WMB has a full kitchen with dish machine and restaurant-grade oven making the space ideal of caterers. On top of all the advantages the WMB offers for hosting events, the WMB is home to the Vermont Youth Conservation Corps (VYCC). The VYCC is a youth-driven organization that teaches environmental conservation and sustainable agriculture practice to local high school and college students. When renting the West Monitor Barn for your event, the full rental fee goes the VYCC organization and farm. On top of the philanthropic affiliation of the WMB, the VYCC Farm offers the ability for caterers to use ingredients grown right on the property, allowing the ingredients for your meal to be about as local as they can get—harvested on site!  If you’re looking for a wedding or event venue, take a moment to ask where the proceeds go.  With so many venue options in Vermont, perhaps give your wedding the opportunity to give back to the Vermont community.
